Help with the Jungian Dream Analysis plugin for ChatGPT.
How to use the plugin
- Install it from the ChatGPT plugin directory.
- Open a chat and mention the plugin, for example:
@Jungian Dream Analysis Analyze this dream using a Jungian framework. Start with my personal associations and emotions, then explore symbolic and archetypal patterns without treating the interpretation as objective fact. - Describe your dream in as much detail as you remember. The more context you give — feelings, people, places — the better the reflection.
- To explore recurring dreams, describe earlier occurrences in the same conversation so they can be compared.
Frequently asked questions
Does the plugin collect my data?
No. The plugin is a set of instructions (a “skill”) with no server, no account system, and no analytics. Your dreams and the analysis live only in your ChatGPT conversation, handled under OpenAI’s privacy policy. See the privacy policy for details.
Is dream interpretation medical or psychological advice?
No. The plugin offers a reflective, non-diagnostic framework inspired by Jungian ideas. It is not a clinical assessment, therapy, or a substitute for professional care.
Why does it ask about my associations instead of telling me what symbols mean?
That is deliberate. The framework prioritizes your personal associations over fixed symbol dictionaries — a core Jungian principle. Symbol meanings are offered as possibilities, not verdicts.
The plugin doesn’t activate when I mention my dream
Make sure the plugin is installed and enabled in ChatGPT, and address it directly (for example, start your message with @Jungian Dream Analysis). If it still doesn’t trigger, try the example prompt above.
Can I suggest a feature or report a problem?
Yes — email nikitadmitry@gmail.com and include what you expected and what happened. Please don’t include dream content you’re not comfortable sharing; it isn’t needed for most technical issues.
